Chinese Garden was design and built with the concept of the Chinese gardening art by a well-known Taiwan architect, Prof Yuen-Chen Yu in 1975. The garden replicate classical Northern Chinese imperial architectural style. Besides, it also represents a symbol of Chinese culture in Singapore, a multi-racial country. A walk through the Chinese Garden benefits all with the revival of Chinese architects which are seldom seen in the busy and modern Singapore. The attractions include the Stone Lion, a bridge that follows the style of the 17-Arch Bridge at the Summer Palace in Peking, a Main Arch Building which houses courtyards and a fish pond, Stone Boat and Tea House and a Pagoda with striking architectural beauty. Chinese Garden is an attraction for visitors to experience a breath-taking scenery from the hectic daily life.
