Amidst a medieval castle-like setting, newly opened La Fondue @ Dempsey Hill seeks to create an environment that is romantic, fun and yet a cosy place to dine in. La Fondue as its name suggests offers its guests a complete and extensive fondue dining experience. Fondues generally are enjoyed in groups of two or more. The gastronomic combinations are a set of four courses with each course offering choices that have to be made. Starting out is a choice of the salads, followed by a choice of twenty different types of cheese accompanied with bread and vegetables for dipping. Following on, diners are offered a choice of six set combinations of meats and seafood or if they prefer; the range of meats and seafood on selection is extensive, some thirty choices, all marinated to cater to your choice of style. Along with this selection, diners need to choose which cooking style they prefer, either the grill pan, a selection of three broths or the deep-fry method also known as bourguignonne. Finally, the dessert combination is a choice of chocolate fondue of which there are twenty decadent choices. Accompanied is a wide selection of “dips” including strawberries, local fruits, brownies, ice-cream and marshmallows. In addition to the fondue which is available for both lunch and dinner, La Fondue offers breakfast currently on the weekends starting at 8am. On the breakfast menu are French toast, ten varieties of pancakes and the traditional American style breakfast. La Fondue also offers a traditional Italian pastas and mains for their lunch menu. Should you prefer a late night dessert of chocolate fondue, it is available after 10pm every Friday and Saturday.
