Description
Seletar Airport was built and completed by the British just before the Second World War. It served as a military base for the British.
It remained under British management until 1968 when it was handed over to the then Department Of Civil Aviation (DCA) to manage. It remained under the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore when DCA became a statutory board.
About 80% of the total number of flights operating at Seletar Airport are by the various flying schools. Aircraft charters , repairs and maintenance make up the remaining flights.
